Born and raised on the island of Barbados, Ryan spent 8 years building a career in accounting. However, his deep-rooted love for fashion compelled him to follow his dreams, leading him to New York City. There, he enrolled at the Fashion Institute of Technology (F.I.T.), majoring in Fashion Styling and Image Consulting. Determined to carve his path in the arts and fashion industry, Ryan secured a role as a personal stylist at a prestigious boutique in the East Village, where he honed his skills over 11 years.

In 2020, Ryan launched his children's lifestyle brand, dvon - a name derived from his middle name, Devon (minus the "e"). Inspired by Harlem's vibrant streets, culture and community, he established the brand in one of NYC's most stylish neighborhoods. A year later, his creative vision earned him a collaboration with Harlem Fashion Week (HFW), where he contributed to their fashion academy for emerging creatives and designers. This milestone led to the opportunity to showcase his collection at AD CLOTHING, a boutique on the Upper West Side, for an entire year. Now based in Virginia, Ryan creates each piece by hand, made-to-order, blending his passion for design with a newfound sense of peace. With dreams of solidifying his place as a true visionary in the fashion industry, Ryan continues to embrace the journey, fueled by inspiration and creativity.
